Author, "Art of the Mountains"

Christine Smith, a freelance writer who lives in the Colorado mountains, has written numerous feature stories, newspaper articles, and poetry for many national and international magazines. Her work often examines social justice, spiritual growth, law, psychology, health, technology, and business. In addition, she has been a guest on radio talk shows, and has written two yet unpublished books.

"I love writing. Nothing is more challenging and satisfying that selecting a subject; investigating it until my curiosity or inquiries are answered; then bringing the ideas or knowledge to others. I want to inform and inspire. It's gratifying to open people's perceptions to perspectives they may not otherwise consider."

Currently interviewing Colorado artists for her article series, "Art of the Mountains," Christine believes art serves as a catalyst for us to see ourselves. "Art allows us to get in touch with who we truly are emotionally and spiritually. It focuses our attention on our beliefs, dreams, and memories. It speaks to the heart."

"I enjoy providing artists a means to share their struggles, fulfillments, and their visions. Our mountains are home to some of the most creative artists in the country, and I think we should give more recognition to these extraordinary individuals. That's exactly what I intend "Art of the Mountains" to do.
